Michael W. Schuell

Michael W. Schuell, 76, of Enfield, CT passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 26, 2023. Born November 5, 1946 in Wurzburg, Germany. He was the son of the late Rudolph and Margaret, (George) Schuell. The Schuell family came to America after WWII when Michael was 13.

Michael served our country proudly in the US Air Force both active duty and in the reserves. Following his honorable discharge, he was employed as a tool and die maker at Ozram Sylvania for 32 years, and then at Ethos in East Windsor until his retirement.

Michael was a proud member of the Hartford Sangerbund, (a German Cultural club in Newington Connecticut)where he served as president for three years. He made many friends and loved to partake in in “Ein Prosit der Gemutlichkeit”, a German toast, to well-being!

He leaves his wife, Deborah (Simon) of 32 years, his son Matthew, his mother-in-law, Dolores Simon, brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Lisa Simon and their children, Nick, Scott, and Erin as well as many extended family and close friends who will miss him.

A 9:00AM funeral service will be held at on Tuesday October 3, 2023 in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery ,1390 Main Street, Agawam,MA
