James "Jimmy" "Jay Bird" S. Isham Sr.

September 5, 1973 ~ September 11, 2018 (age 45) 45 Years Old

Obituary

An amazing guitar player whose greatest moments were playing in the band Legion and being a loving father and husband, James “Jimmy” “Jay Bird” S. Isham, Sr. sadly passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Baystate Medical Center. He will be remembered for his funny personality, always joking, his positive outlook and the love he had for his family. Besides heavy metal music, he enjoyed airplanes, jets, cars, flying RC planes, and bowling where he met his much-loved wife Pam. He was proud to be a truck driver and his job with the former B.F.I /Allied Waste as a Master Garbologist for several years.
He is survived by his caring wife of 19 years Pamela (DeAngelis) Isham; their sons: James S. Isham, Jr. and Dylan J. Isham; two step-daughters Rachel Gibbons and Cassandra DeAngelis both of Chicopee; his brothers: Mario Isham and his wife Ruth, Edwin Rivera, Jr. and his wife Eileen, Carlos T. Rivera and his girlfriend Christina, Cerrone Isham and Juan Isham; three sisters: Tanya Lyon and her husband Kenny, Melissa Isham and her boyfriend Oliver, Jenny Rivera and her fiancé Michael; aunt/godmother/2nd mother Maryann Isham; mother-in-law Diane Boisvert; sister-in-law Debbie Lowe and her husband Lee, sister-in-law Barbara DeAngelis; best friend/brother Haywood “Woody” McLoyd; and several beloved nieces and nephews: Kyana, Natalia, Chastity, Jonathan, Jadiel, Justin, Caleb, Alex, Nathalie, Britney, Andrew, Adrian, Karyn, Julie, Shaia, Alistar, Joshua, Jessica, Jennifer, Domonic, Victoria, Lily, Jacob, Jaden, Jemma Austin, and Bailey. Jimmy is predeceased by his parents Charles Isham, Sr. and Karen (Basile) Rivera, his step-father Edwin Rivera, Sr.; his brothers Charles Isham, Jr. and Jeff Samson; his father-in-law Robert DeAngelis, Sr. and his brother-in-law Robert DeAngelis, Jr.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, September 24, 2018 from 4:30-6:30pm with a Celebration of Jimmy’s Life at 6:30pm at Colonial Forastiere Funeral & Cremation on 985 Main Street in Agawam. Burial will be private with the family in St. Rose De Lima Cemetery in Chicopee at a later date.
