Barbara M. Harvey

Barbara Mary (Koskie) Harvey, 88, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at home with her family by her side. She was born in Northbridge, MA to the late Fred and Clara (Rogala) Koskie on March 3, 1930. Barbara was a sales clerk for the former Steiger’s Department Store in Springfield for many years. Her greatest joy was being a wife and mother. Barbara loved to cook and could always be found in the kitchen making wonderful meals for her family. Barbara has now gone to join her loving husband of 60 years, Robert W. Harvey who died this past January. She was also predeceased by her sister, Joan Koskie. Barbara leaves her children, Robert S. Harvey of Granby, Leslie S. Harvey of Chicopee and Joan Damore of Hyannis; 3 grandchildren, Chelsea, Ethan, and Matthew; 5 great-grandchildren, Nathan, Justin, Emma, Brooke and Sofia. The family wishes to thank Dr. Michael Rosen, the nurses in the infusion room, and the nurses form Mercy Hospice for their exceptional care. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
