Anne M. Grigely

East Longmeadow – Anne M. (Arlotta) Grigely, passed away on October 7, 2018, just shy of her 93rd birthday. She was born in Springfield on October 20, 1925 to the late Joseph and Spazia (Mastrociagoma) Arlotta. Anne was a graduate of The High School of Commerce in Springfield. She was the bookkeeper for her husband’s masonry company, J. C. Grigely Inc. for over 40 years. She was a member of the East Longmeadow Garden Club, Red Hat Society, and Morning Glory Walkers. Anne was an avid golfer, gardener, and card player. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her loving husband of 48 years, Joseph C. Grigely in 1998. She leaves her sons, Michael Grigely and his wife, Judy of Longmeadow; and Joseph Grigely and his wife Amy of Chicago, IL; 5 grandchildren, Stephanie and her husband Kevin, Jason and his wife Annette, Jessica, Lily, and Girma; 2 great-Grandchildren, Joshua and Kayla; a sister, Mary Ryan of Brimfield; and her niece, Jo Arlotta who was her caregiver for 6 years and became the daughter she never had. Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, October 12th from 4-7PM at Forastiere Smith Funeral and Cremation, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow. Anne’s funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 13th from the funeral home at 8:45AM followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church, East Longmeadow at 10AM. Burial will follow in Billings Hill Cemetery, East Longmeadow. Donations in Anne’s memory may be made to the East Longmeadow Senior Center, 328 North Main St., East Longmeadow, MA 01028.
