Albert Stasiak

West Springfield – Albert Stasiak, 86, passed away peacefully June 4, 2023. Born March 6, 1937 in Yonkers, NY, he was a son of the late William and Veronica (Laba) Stasiak. Al grew up in Yonkers, NY before moving to Danbury, CT and later Massachusetts. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving our country proudly with the US Army from 1957-59. Al was a graduate of Pace University in New York and was employed with IBM for 30 years. He later owned and operated his own consulting business and was last employed with Ethan Allen prior to his retirement. Al was an avid golfer, enjoyed bowling, fishing and watching UCONN Women’s Basketball. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his family. Albert is survived by his sons Albert “Buddy” Stasiak and his wife, Garda and Brian Stasiak; grandchildren Tyler Stasiak and his wife, Felicity and Natasha Eagan; great-grandson Logan Eagan; and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Florence “Tookie” (Torrence) Stasiak; son Lawrence R. Stasiak; brother William “Sonny” Stasiak; and sister Theresa Stasiak. Calling hours for Al will be held from 4-7PM on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St., Agawam, MA. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 beginning at 9AM from the funeral home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial, to be celebrated at 10AM, at St. John the Evangelist Church, Agawam, MA. Cremation will follow at the direction of the family.
