Rosemarie Rivers

SPRINGFIELD – Rosemarie Rivers, 72, passed away on February 14, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Bad Hersfeld, Germany on April 22, 1944 to the late Frederick and Johanna (Joram) Dinse, she was a homemaker and spent her time raising her family. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Predeceased by her husband John D. Rivers, a brother and a sister, she leaves her sons Frank Abbott and his wife Lynn of Springfield, Richard Abbott of Chicopee and Roger Abbott and his wife Edna of FL; step-sons Eric Rivers of WA and Rene Rivers of CA; grandchildren Kaitlyn Abbott, Christine Higgins and Matthew Higgins; brother Karl Heinz Schuster and sister Ingeborg Knotig. Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 12 – 1 PM at Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home 985 Main Street, Agawam, MA.
