Patricia Hogan-Cerasuolo

EAST LONGMEADOW – Patricia Mary Hogan-Cerasuolo, 59, passed away on January 21, 2018 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Holyoke, MA on July 6, 1958 to the late George E. and Barbara A. Hogan (O’Neil), she was very proud of her Holyoke and Irish background. She obtained her B.A., M.Ed, and CAGS (+15) from UMASS Amherst and was a member of the Tri Sigma Sorority. Patricia taught English and Social Services at Peck Middle School in Holyoke before becoming a department chair at Minnechaug Regional High School. She also taught History and other social studies courses including AP Psychology. She was awarded the Pioneer Valley Excellence in Teaching Award for the 2016-2017 school year. Patricia enjoyed many things including U2 and Bono, going to concerts, dancing, skiing, history and Harry Potter. Her family will fondly remember her for being an avid decorator during the holidays, being a world traveler and her love for woodland creatures. To cherish her memory, Patricia leaves her loving husband Antonio Cerasuolo; daughters Cassandra Sarah “CC” Cerasuolo and Alessandra Barbara Cerasuolo all of East Longmeadow; brothers Thomas Joseph Hogan and Daniel Patrick Hogan of Holyoke, her grandpuppies Fitz and Jax as well as many friends, colleagues and students. Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 3-8 PM at Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation, 220 North Main Street, East Longmeadow, MA. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 beginning at 8:30 AM at the funeral home followed by A Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Michael’s Parish, 128 Maple St. East Longmeadow, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association Massachusetts Chapter, 685 Canton St. Suite 103, Norwood, MA 02062 or the Soldiers’ Home in Holyoke, 110 Cherry St, Holyoke, MA 01040.
