Joanne L. Sarnelli

Joanne L. Sarnelli, 76, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018. Born in Springfield, MA on April 6, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Montefusco) Consolini. She worked for Mass Mutual and Walbaum Food Mart for many years. Joanne enjoyed traveling to Aruba, Florida, and the Cape and spending time on the beach. She loved to shop in New York and go to the casino.
She was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas Sarnelli in 2011.
She leaves her daughter Karen Sarnelli of East Longmeadow; her son Bryan Sarnelli of Somerville; 2 grandchildren, Nicholas and Emilia Sarnelli; her sister Lois Soares and her husband John of Westfield; her niece Erica Soares; and her nephew John Scott Soares and his wife Megan and their 2 children.
Her Funeral Service will begin on Friday, January 19th at 9 AM at Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, William St., Springfield. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Springfield.
