Doris L'Heureux

Longmeadow – Doris Constance (Martin) L’Heureux, 92, beloved wife and aunt, died on Sunday, January 14, 2018. Born in Holyoke to the late, Dominique and Jeanne (Peletier) Martin on January 15th 1925. She was a graduate of Holyoke High School and earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Massachusetts. She was a secretary for over 40 years at Tierney Insurance and the former John F Colby Insurance in Springfield. Doris was loved by clients for her charming personality. She was an avid reader and enjoyed weekends with her husband Bill at Moody Beach in Maine and traveling throughout Asia. She leaves her loving husband of 59 years, William “Bill” L’Heureux; and her nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her sister, Lorraine Morin. Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, January 21st from 2-5PM at Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Maine St., East Longmeadow. The funeral will be held on Monday, January 22nd from the funeral home at 8:45AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10AM in St Mary’s Church, Longmeadow.
